VILLA RAIANO GRECO DI TUFO
Delicate savoury aromas with notes of white flower, anise and citrus. Broad, pithy and mineral on the palate - an attractive chalky note is balanced by pear and grapefruit characters and a touch of white spice. The finish is long and lingering with a mouth-watering saline bite.
The Greco grapes are sourced from vineyards in Montefusco, Tufo and Altavilla Irpina. The guyot-trained vines are planted in loose chalky / sandy soils, 500m above sea level. Grapes are harvested in early October, and the whole bunches are softly pressed. The wine is fermented and refined in stainless steel, and spends 3-4 months on lees.
