SANTAS SMOOTH SAILING COMBO

Sale Price: £34.35 Original Price: £37.35

A trio of wines on the lighter side to compliment the Christmas period, they don’t need food, but each can work with various seasonal dishes if they are still around, come the big day.

Each combo has a fizz, a white and a red. There may be some simple food suggestions in the notes but if you’re looking for something to match a meal not covered here, or you want something similar but have different characteristics in mind (lighter/heavier/fruitier/oakier…) come in and see us.

These are the easier options, light bodied and soft also an easy shout if buying a gift for someone and you have no idea what they like.

El Ninot de Paper Blanc de Noirs Sparkling NV 11.5%abv

Garnacha

Spain (Valencia)

(Vegetarian, Vegan)

You may think a Blanc de noirs is a strange place to start a happy crowd-pleasing combo, but This is a soft and fruity Sparkling white. Produced using the Charmat method, the same method as prosecco, this wine is just as fresh, aromatic and fruit driven. I’m not suggesting fizz for breakfast but would go nicely with opening presents.

Château La Grangeotte, AOP Bordeaux 13%abv

Merlot 60%, Cabernet Franc 20%, Cabernet Sauvignon

France (Bordeaux)

(Sustainable)

An appealing, bramble fruited claret, fresh and bright on the palate with supple tannins and good typicity.

Zagare Vermentino, Terre Siciliane IGT 12.5%abv

Vermentino

Italy (SICILY)

(Vegetarian, Vegan)

Ripe stone fruit aromas with preserved lemon characters and floral notes. The palate has apricot, citrus peel and grapefruit pith, an appealing texture and minerality, fresh acidity and a gently savoury finish.
