Founded in 1974 by Giuseppe Castiglioni, a global entrepreneur and wine enthusiast, Querciabella aimed to establish world-class winemaking in Chianti Classico. Since the pioneering release of Camartina in 1981, one of the very first Super Tuscans, the estate has consistently set new benchmarks for innovation and quality. Today, under the leadership of Giuseppe’s daughter Mita and her children Andrea and Selene, Querciabella, which translates as 'beautiful oak' remains true to its founding spirit, while continuing to shape the future of Tuscan fine wine. The estate now comprises 95 hectares across Chianti Classico and its coastal property in Maremma. A trailblazer in sustainable viticulture, Querciabella has farmed its vineyards organically since 1988, focussing on tailored, low-impact approaches that respect the ecosystem and its natural rhythm. Querciabella crafts wines of depth, precision and distinctive character that are authentic reflections of their origin.
