Customer Service

Shipping & Delivery

At Vino we will make every effort to ensure that your purchases arrive on time and in perfect condition. You can arrange to collect from any of our shops if you would wish and still process the payment online. We will make every effort to deliver to you within 10 working days however if you need something sooner then please email info@vinowines.co.uk or give us a call on 0131 452 8235. We will deliver MONDAY - FRIDAY during office hours however we can in certain situations arrange for a delivery out with this if your within the EH postcode area.

In the EH area we will deliver with our own vans but any further afield will be using a courier company.

1-12 bottles - £7.95 delivery charge

13-23 bottles - £11.75 delivery charge

Delivery on 24 bottles or more is absolutely FREE of charge to mainland UK.

Due to the increased cost of shipping outside of mainland UK, all deliveries of any size will be charged as detailed below.

Please note, we are currently updating our website to automate these charges, in the meantime, any orders placed for delivery out with mainland UK will be liable for a supplement to total the charges below. A member of the team will be in touch to organise the payment supplement directly.

If no one is home a card will be left or where applicable the package will be left with a neighbour. Please leave specific delivery requirements in the Checkout page where a space is provided.

When receiving goods you must check immediately for any damage and let the driver know of any problem. Once you have signed for the products you do so accepting them in perfect order. In the event of finding any damaged goods that have not been notified to us by the courier please alert the driver who will offer to take the entire delivery back for resending or take note of the broken products. We will resend replacements for products in two working days where we have available stock.

We cannot guarantee delivery in original packaging however we may at our discretion and on specific request be able to supply products in their original packaging. This may however result in a delay of up to 30 days in some cases, please contact info@vinowines.co.uk for more information.

Your Personal Information will be treated as confidential and all data will be held on a secure server. We will fully comply with all applicable UK Data Protection and consumer legislation laws.

When you shop on this Website, we will ask you to input and will collect personal information from you such as your name, e-mail address, billing address, delivery address, telephone number, product selections, credit card or other payment information and a password.

Using cookies, we may also collect information about where you are on the internet (e.g. the URL you came from, IP address, domain types such as.”co.uk" and ."com"), your browser type, the country you accessed the site from, the pages of our Website that were viewed during your visit and any search terms that you entered on our Website . We may collect this information even if you do not register with us.

We confirm that any personal information which you provide to us (or which is available on public registers) and any user information from which we can identify you, is held in accordance with the registration we have with the Data Commissioner's Office. We will use your information only for the following purposes:

You should be aware that if we are requested by the police or any other regulatory or government authority investigating suspected illegal activities to provide your Personal Information and /or User Information we may be obliged to do so.

 

Returns & Replacements

RETURNS

We will provide a full refund or replace any faulty wines that you receive and this will not affect your statutory rights. We may ask for the faulty products to be returned and will arrange for collection of them.

We offer a sale or return with our event servicing, while we would love for you to buy online and offer this we would much rather see you in store and discuss your specific needs. Ordering

SALE OR RETURN

For events we know the worry that running out can bring so we would rather that you took advantage of our SALE OR RETURN policy. This has to be agreed in advance as to the levels and when agreed the condition has to be full packs of beer and bottles must be in a retail condition with labels intact and not damaged from chilling.

GLASS LOAN

Our aim is for you to find our stores a one stop shop for your events and with that we offer FREE GLASS HIRE for your events with wine goblets, Champagne flutes and tumblers available if booked in advance and a minimum of 12 bottles purchased.

If your needing to impress we have a range of Ancroc restaurant quality glasses that can be hired for a small fee per box.

WEBSITE

We offer a secure payment service for Card Transactions through Streamline that will not store any or your card details. We accept all major credit cards including AmEx, your card will be charged at the time of placing the order.

By placing an order on our website you are certifying that you are of legal age to do so. We will not sell alcohol to anyone under the age of 18 and our carriers will ask for proof of age where they believe that the person receipting the delivery is under the age of 25. In the event that the person cannot provide proof of age we will be unable to leave the wine and reserve the right to charge for redelivery.

At any point in a transaction during working hours if you need any assistance then please call one of our stores and if for any reason your having trouble we can take orders over the phone.

 

Payment, Pricing & Promotions

PAYMENT, PRICING AND RETURNS

We cannot guarantee stock availability in all cases and all products are offered subject to availability.

Payment will be taken from your account once the order is placed, will contact you by email with conformation of receipt of your order and conformation that the order is to be fulfilled.

We accept all major credit cards. All prices are inclusive of UK VALUE ADDED TAX at 20%.

At all times the products remain the property of Dunedin Wines Limited until payment is received in full.

Promotional offers and prices are offered as stated with no further discounts, we do not offer discounting based on volume of sale however if you have an event requirement we can offer our event service.

While we take every care to ensure that all pricing is accurate on our website, occasionally an error may occur and goods may be miss-priced. If we discover a pricing error we will at our discretion contact you to ask if you wish to process with your order or we will inform you that your order has been cancelled. We will not be obliged to supply goods at the incorrect price.

We reserve the right to change prices, offers, goods and specifications of goods at our discretion at any time before (but not after) we accept your order. Where we have an end date on an offer we have this as a guide and may chose to end this early or extend. We reserve the right to change prices at any time.

Online credit card fraud is a problem in fine wines and we take this very seriously, if you are looking to purchase a large amount of fine wine/champagne we ask that you contact one of the stores to discuss as we will not send out orders over £1000 without speaking to the customer to confirm details.

We will ensure that our activities are fully in accordance with Scottish Licensing requirements and will make every effort to uphold the principles of our sales license.
